Nelson Tereso

Nelson Tereso is a Portuguese-American citizen born in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Nelson Tereso moved to Portugal as a child. He attended Law School at Portuguese Catholic University in Lisbon until the third year, then transferred to Lisbon International University, in which he graduated in 1994.
Nelson Tereso began his internship in April 1995 and he passed the bar exam with merit in February 17, 1997.
He has been enrolled as an attorney at law for the Portuguese Bar Association since March 21, 1997, with the professional license number 13692L.
He set up his own law office while an intern in Alhandra, Judicial County of Vila Franca de Xira.
Nelson Tereso provided and still provides internships.
Given the fact of being a Portuguese-American he is specially connected to the United States where Tereso has established various partnerships with law offices in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, California and Florida.
In year 2006, with Arcos Agency in Newark, New Jersey, Tereso has his own space in this important Portuguese Community.
In the United States he also writes legal articles for the famous “LusoAmericano” newspaper.
Nelson Tereso was the first elected representative of the Portuguese Communities of Western Massachusetts and Hartford, CT in Portugal, executive director in Portugal of the Bernardino Coutinho Foundation, administrator of Amália Rodrigues Foundation. He’s also the founder and president of the Basketball Fan Club, president of the general-assembly of the Civil Hospital and Mercy of Alhandra, president of the fiscal council of the Fire Department of Alhandra, among other offices and responsibilities.
